Why Pro Skills?

Digital Connect’s Pro Skills is a way to enhance your knowledge with common workplace technology. These are professional development courses designed to improve your workplace technology skills.

No knowledge of these Microsoft Office applications are required; however, some basic computer literacy is recommended.

Course Information

Outlook

Our Pro Skills Outlook course teaches you the skills you need to effectively manage email communication, calendar appointments, tasks, and contacts. This course covers key features and functionalities to optimize your use of Outlook for improved productivity and organization. Additionally, you will learn essential email etiquette to ensure your communications are professional and effective. 

Intro to Word 

In the Intro to Word course, you will learn to navigate the Microsoft Word interface with confidence and ease so you can create, edit, and format polished and professional looking documents. You will also improve your business writing skills so that your communication is clear, concise, and professional. 

Intro to Excel

In DCI’s Intro to Excel course, you will learn to confidently navigate Excel, enter and format data, perform calculations with formulas like SUM and AVERAGE, and create eye-catching charts and graphs. You will also master data management techniques, such as sorting and filtering, to aid you in your data analysis and decision-making needs. 

Application Instructions

There are two ways to apply for a Pro Skills course: as a GRIC employee or via self-enrollment.

Instructions for GRIC Employees

1) Complete the application in the web browser. Remember to include your department and title.

  • Click the blue “Submit” button at the bottom of the webpage. Adobe will send you an email to confirm your email address.

  • IMPORTANT: You must click “Confirm my email address” in the message from Adobe Sign. If you do not, we will not receive the application, and we cannot hold your place in line. Class sizes are limited. Enrollment is first-come, first-served.

  • After clicking “Confirm my email address,” you will be sent a PDF copy of the completed application.

2) Attach a copy of the application to the GRIC Training Request Form (TRF) when you submit it to the GRIC Finance Department/Human Resources.

Your enrollment will be held as pending until payment is received from GRIC. After payment is received, we will contact you with your course login information. If GRIC denies your request, you will not be enrolled in the course. If you have any questions, please email us at proskills@gilarivertel.com

Instructions for non-GRIC Employees

  • IMPORTANT: You must click “Confirm my email address” in the message from Adobe Sign. If you do not, we will not receive the application, and we cannot hold your place in line. Class sizes are limited. Enrollment is first-come, first-served.

  • After clicking “Confirm my email address,” you will be sent a PDF copy of the completed application.

2) We will contact you to coordinate payment and complete your enrollment. Currently, the only acceptable forms of payment are check and credit card over the phone.
